Saraswathi College of Arts and Science in association with the Young Indians Movement organized a workshop on Assistive Technology and Accessibility on 1/12/2022.  The resource person was Joseph Bose, Assistant Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) Tvm. Prof. N Jayakumar, Academic Director, SCAS delivered the welcome speech. The presidential address was rendered by Dr. Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson, SCAS. The vote of thanks was given by Anjana L of S3 Psychology. The session began with an introduction to Assistive Technology and Accessibility. The resource person spoke about how technology makes things possible for people with disabilities. He introduced certain software applications which are great tools to assist the differently abled. Students were sensitized about the barriers and social stigma associated with the disabled in our society. The session was well appreciated by the students.
