Day 3: As part of the lecture series “Navigating the Literary Landscape,” organized by the Department of English, Dr. Suja Kurup P. L., Professor, Institute of English , University of Kerala, took the stage to elucidate the intricacies of “Research Methodology” on 22nd November 2023. The seminar commenced with a comprehensive exploration of the basics of research, encompassing terminology, the imperative need for quality in research, and considerations of research ethics. Dr. Suja then delved into the research process, covering key aspects such as research methodology, defining research problems, formulating hypotheses, and maintaining publication ethics to minimize plagiarism. The final segment focused on the critical elements of writing bibliographies and adhering to a specific style. The seminar’s success is anticipated to significantly benefit students in their research endeavours, particularly in the realm of project work.
