The Dept of Psychology, Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, Vilappil conducted a workshop on life skills on 26 February 2024, Monday.
The resource
person for the workshop was Reema Sudarshan, Rehabilitation psychologist, Prism Integrated Rehabilitation & Virtual Reality, Universal Empowerment Centre.
The program was hosted by Diya of S4 Psychology. The session began with an invocation song sung by Arathy S Nash of S6 Psychology, and a welcome speech by Lekshmi Priya, Assistant Professor Department of Psychology.
The resource person gave a beautiful insight based on basic life skills such as Self-awareness, Empathy, Critical thinking etc. Various engaging activities were conducted on interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and communication. The three-hour workshop covered issues central to students’ lives like effective communication, social skills, positive attitude, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision making etc.
Dr. Jisha P. R, HOD Department of Psychology, rendered a Felicitation speech for the program. The vote of thanks was given by Abhirami of S2 Psychology. Principal Dr. G. Gopakumar handed over a memento to Reema Sudarsan, the resource person as a token of appreciation from the SCAS family. The session was well appreciated by the students.
