On Environment Day, Geology Department organised a virtual event which comprised of a one-day webinar, quiz competition and a photography contest . The programme was a resounding success, where more than 100 participants attended the webinar. The highlight of the one-day programme was a beautiful session on ‘ Career Options in Geology’ by Dr K P Jaikiran. The former Programme Director of FLAIR and Head of Curriculum Design ASAP is now working as the Associate Professor of Geology at Govt College, Kasaragod. We were blessed to have the presence of several luminaries from the world of Geology and could interact with them. We are immensely grateful to Dr Thamban Meloth from National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research, Dr V J Rajesh from the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, Dr T S Sunil Kumar from AMD (Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research) and Prof. Ratheesh.
