As part of observing National Reading Day, the Department of Malayalam in collaboration with the Department of Hindi organized a virtual reading event for our students on 19.06.2021. This initiative has been organized to foster an inspiring reading culture among our students.
The inauguration ceremony was hosted by Dr. Anjana D, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi. The welcome address was rendered by Dr. Vineetha, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, and Prof N Jayakumar, Academic Director, Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, who delivered the inaugural address. Felicitation address was done by Sri Veerankutti (Poet, Renowned Malayalam Children’s litterateur, Professor), Dr. Prasanna Kumari (Hindi Writer, Translator, Rtd Professor), Dr. Raja Warrier (HoD, Performing and Visual Arts, University of Kerala), and Dr. Chayam Dharmajan (Poet, HoD, Department of Malayalam, Govt College, Kattappana. Syam Kumar R J, Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam rendered the vote of thanks, and Beena L, Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam declared the winners of the reading competition. Around 30 students participated in the contest. The winners of the events are as follows.
