The Department of English, Saraswathi College of Arts and Science organized a Seminar on “English for Tomorrow.” Prof. K Gopalakrishnan, eminent scholar and trainer, was the resource person. The lecture was conducted as three sessions in which the students were sensitised to the role of English in a vastly changing world from the perspectives of scope and employability. The seminar was open to students from all departments. Peppered with personal anecdotes and pearls of wisdom from a plethora of sources, the lecture was lively and interesting. New vistas were introduced to the students and the lecture ended with a Q&A session in which the students actively participated. NET coaching classes for MA students were also inaugurated.
