The Department of Geology, SCAS, Trivandrum organized a talk titled “Delaying ticket to Mars: Local Actions for Disaster reduction “. Dr. Sekhar L Kuriakose, member secretary of Kerala state disaster management authority was the resource person. The lecture was open to students of all departments. The session was about the current disasters faced by the state of Kerala and measures to facilitate its effective management. Furthermore the talk enlightened the students on the various activities carried out by KSDMA. The talk provided an enriching experience for the students on the topic of Disaster Management.
