On 23rd February, Literati, the Literary Club of SCAS, conducted the prize distribution ceremony of different contests it conducted. Short story writing contest (English and Malayalam) was conducted in association with the Thiruvananthapuram Chapter of Aksharasthree, the Literary Woman, an organisation of women writers, which sponsored cash awards for the winners. They also donated books to the college library. The club had also conducted essay writing (English and Malayalam) and Poster making contests in collaboration with the Human Rights Cell to mark the Human Rights Day. Prizes of those contests were also distributed. The event ended with the staging of “Poothapattu”, a poem by Edasseri Govindan Nair. It was a spectacular performance which garnered much appreciation from the guests.
