The department organised a bridge course in Basic Accountancy for non-commerce background students. The session was offered for second semester BCom and BBA students. The resource person for the session was Dr. Vinod. G, Associate Professor, Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. The program was conducted on June 30th 2023 at College auditorium and 60 students participated in the program. The main objective of this course is to bring non-commerce students at par with those who had accounts in 12th standard. The program was helpful for non- commerce students to have a basic understanding of the accounting concepts. This course enables the study of basic accounts and applying them to business theory in general and it provided the accounting foundations necessary for business, and finance. The program coordinators were Dr. Rajasree. P. S and Dr. Ajinu. B.
