Today, a presentation titled “There is Plenty of Fish in the Sea: Alt-Ac Careers for English Majors” was delivered by Meera M Bhagavathy, Senior Quality Assurance Executive in the Web Accessibility/Research Segment at STRAIVE GLOBAL, in the college auditorium. Meera discussed the various career opportunities available for English majors beyond traditional academic roles. She highlighted career paths in media, including writing, editing, and content creation, as well as opportunities in journalism, such as reporting and editing. She also discussed roles in human resources, emphasizing skills in recruitment, employee training, and organizational communication. Additionally, Meera touched on other fields such as public relations, corporate communications, and technical writing.
