MA English language and Literature is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course which is divided into 4 semesters. The course provides students with an opportunity for advanced studies in various aspects of literature and linguistics. Some papers included in the course are Chaucer to the Elizabethan Age, Shakespeare Studies, Literary Theory, Cultural studies, Teaching of English language, etc. The department provides students with theoretical and analytical training required to continue to a research degree at the doctoral level or to advance professional skills relevant to working within relevant fields but not limited to the teaching of English editing and professional writing. The course develops the candidates’ awareness of practices in language use and their application in various contexts.
