Department of Psychology conducted a two days exhibition “TEMET NOSCE”, and “know thyself” at Saraswathi College of Arts & Science, Vilapil. The inaugural function was on 30/06/2023, & the chief guests were Dr. George Mathew (Former HOD Dept. of Psychology, University of Kerala, Karyavattom)  & Dr. L R Madhujan (Psychologist, Director. Karunasai De-addiction & Mental health Research Institute, Vellanadu). Krishnaveni R S of S4 Psychology was the host of the event. The prayer song was sung by Aishwarya P Nair ( S2 Psychology) Ms. Gopika S.S. Assistant  Professor of Psychology and Coordinator of the exhibition delivered the welcome speech. The presidential address was rendered by  Prof. N. Jayakumar ( Academic Director, SCAS) After the presidential address, the chief guests formally inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Dr. Jisha P R, Head of the department rendered a felicitation speech. Dr. Gangadhar K, HOD of the Department of Geology graced the event with his presence and rendered a few words about the exhibition. The vote of thanks was given by Roshna of S2 Psychology. Ten stalls covering various topics in Psychology were exhibited and each was unique in its presentation. The thrilling parapsychology stall was the main highlight of the exhibition. The event went well and was well appreciated by the participants.

World Music Day was celebrated this year at Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, Vilappil with a musical program to commemorate the great poet, lyricist, and environmentalist and Jnanpith awardee late Shri O.N.V Kurup. Noted Playback singer Aparna Rajeev, granddaughter of the poet was the chief guest of the event. The program was enriched by her melodious musical performance. Ms. Aparna Rajeev was joined by our Academic Director Professor N Jayakumar for a duet song. The official inauguration was followed by a medley of songs penned by the Great poet and strung together by the members of the music club.

Saraswathi College of Arts and Science celebrated World Environmental Day on 05-06-2023. The event was inaugurated by the eminent filmmaker ,art director and painter Sri Nemom Pushparaj . The chief guest also inaugurated the Butterfly garden. The occassion was blessed with the presence of Dr Devi Mohan, Vice Chairperson ,Saraswathi Group of Institution along with Prof N Jayakumar,Academic Director and Dr Gopkumar ,Principal of Saraswathi College of Arts and Science . The event ended with planting a swapling and some positive suggestions for the enhancement of the garden by our chief guest.

Saraswathi College of Arts and Science celebrated Bhoomika 2022-23 on 07-06-2022 in relation to the Environment Day. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Lilli Mohan, President of Vilappil Gramapanchayat, and a seed collection drive was organised,  which was conducted by Shri V V Girish Kumar, Ward Member of Vilappil Gramapanchayat. Dr. Rajamohan, Chairman, and Dr. Devi Mohan, Vice-chairperson, of Saraswathi Group of Institutions blessed the occasion with their presence. Prof. N. Jayakumar, Academic Director, and Dr. Gopkumar, Principal, of Saraswathi College of Arts and Science were also present. The day ended on a positive note with the planting of saplings in the college campus.
