The Department of Psychology was established in the year 2020 with a BSc Psychology course. Different areas of psychology like the history of Psychology, research scopes, heredity, the physiological basis of behavior, mental development, memory, reasoning and decision-making capacity of the human mind, social work, therapeutic relationship, etc are covered over the course of three years. The aim of the department is to give students an overview of psychological science focusing on the syllabus prescribed by the University of Kerala. The department specializes in implementing knowledge from which students can gain an understanding of psychological phenomena that occur in daily life as well as the practical application of psychological knowledge. The Department offers “Physiology” and “Statistical Methods for Psychology,” as its complementary subject papers.
